Did you ever get your NIS problem resolved? I am having the same
problem with Trustix 2.0 and NIS.

I get error with the same command:
ypwhich -m

And this command yields nothing:
ypcat passwd

I'm banging my head...

Hello ,

It turned out to be a *user* problem.
The network department on the company hadnt add me to their NIS server
so my servers couldnt make the requests!

Best,
Luís
